Octopus Project

The Octopus Project has been around for a few years, but they were completely unknown up until they won a Myspace contest last year to open at Coachella. They sound like the music everyone wants to hear: emotional robot music. Granted, these robots are a bit nerdy, but they still fucking rock (Wikipedia says that's called "indietronica"). Plus, there's definitely enough pulsating percussion to satisfy any electro-dance-fag (Copyright 2008).

It's all instrumental, and it is sick.

Here's some (mp3) highlights from their 2007 album Hello, Avalanche (Peek-a-Boo) --
