Ive been watching some history of house/dance music videos as of late and these vids have really opened my eyes to this essential genre of dance music. Guys like Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy killed it back in the 80's mixing anything from classic soul disco tracks to the pop music of that time. You see these videos and realize how the whole dance movement is essentially about being yourself and having a good...er great time. Check out some movies on youtube and google video such as The History of House and Maestro are great.
